Big Five Safari · KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Hluhluwe-Imfolozi

Africa's oldest game reserve. All five. One day.

Hluhluwe-Imfolozi is Africa's oldest game reserve — a sweeping 96,000-hectare wilderness in KwaZulu-Natal and home to the world's largest population of Southern White Rhino. Guests can expect outstanding sightings of rhino, giraffe, elephant, and buffalo, with the possibility of lion, leopard, and cheetah — making every game drive a genuinely unpredictable experience.

SDD's full-day game drive departs early, entering the park at dawn to watch the bush come alive. Guests enjoy a bush braai lunch at one of the park's secure rest stops, with a full 8 to 10 hours of wildlife watching before returning to the lodge in St Lucia.
