About this Destination
Ponta do Ouro — 'Point of Gold' — is Mozambique's premier shark diving destination, situated near the South African border. The Pinnacles dive site has earned a global reputation for extraordinary shark encounters: descend to 30–40 metres and ascend through the deep blue alongside tiger, bull, hammerhead, silvertip, silky, and dusky sharks.
Out of season, shark numbers are lower but still impressive, with the added possibility of whale sightings along the migration route. In warmer months (November–May), shark season is in full swing.
